Reading OsteoCare is an Osteopathic Clinic based in Reading, Berkshire.
When you initially contact Reading OsteoCare (calling, emailing, texting or writing), you have consented them to contact you in regards to your enquiry/request. You can ‘opt out’ in them contacting you at anytime.
As part of the initial consultation, personal data and medical information is recorded and filed securely.
Personal data such as your address, telephone number and email address are required as a form of communication between you and the Osteopath (for example, rescheduling or cancelling an appointment). Medical information is required to aid the management of your Osteopathic care at the Clinic and whether Osteopathic treatment is indicated in your case.
The Osteopath will only have access to this data, unless you have given written consent to share this with another party involved in your healthcare (for example, GP or insurance company), or we are legally obliged to (for example, if you are putting your life or someone else’s life at risk).
Your personal data is stored for 8 years after your last treatment at Reading OsteoCare. In the case of minors, your data will be retained until they reach the age of 25.
Your have the right to access, rectify (change), restrict, transfer and erase your personal data at anytime. You will need one form of photographic identification (for example, passport or driving licence) for us to complete your request. Reading OsteoCare have 30 days to comply to this and have the right to refuse your request to access your personal data with a reason. If this is the case, you have the right to take further legal action.
